W.O.W Facility Funder

The Sport England Mission is wanting everyone in England regardless of their age, background or level of ability to feel able to take part in sport and physical activity. But too often the people with the most to gain from being active are the least able to take part.

That’s why Sport England are on a mission to address this injustice and transform sport and physical activity so that people and places everywhere can benefit. They do this by providing expertise, insight and funding that improves the nation’s long term physical and mental health.

In line with this strategy, iCan Health & Fitness CIC presented Sport England with a proposal for the W.O.W Facility describing its intent to support Cumbria’s progress in improving the County’s long term physical and mental health needs.

Sport England funded the project through the Community Asset Fund.
